The Unit has three Energy Dispersive Spectroscope (EDS), one attached to the Jeol's JSM-6300 Scanning Electron Microscope for the bulk specimen and second with Jeol's JEM 1200 EX II Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope for elemental X-ray microanalysis in Transmission mode for both biological and material science specimen and the third system attached to High Resolution Transmission electron microscope (HRTEM) 300kV Jeol's JEM-3010, with these system the detectors are LN2 Dewar detector (129 eV) for both light and heavy elements. These is a fourth X-Flash dry detector of 127 eV evolution attached to the VPFESEM Leo Supra). All systems are manufactured by Rontec, Germany.
