يوجد بالوحدة ميكروسكوب استريو قوة تكبير 15 مرة وهو من اكبر معدلات التكبير حتى الان ويظهر هذا الميكروسكوب صور عالية الجودة باستخدام نظام اضاءة فريد يضئ العينات من جميع الجوانب من اسفل ومن على العينة. يتميز هذا الميكروسكوب بوجود قاعدة عينات بعرض 180 مم كما ان الكامير المثبتة عالية الوضوح 8 ميجابكسل بتقنية الكرستال السائل.
The electron microscopy unit has recently acquired new stereomicroscopes with a zoom ratio of 15X- the highest in the world, with it's excellent optical performance and it's oblique coherent contrast(OCC) illumination system to observe colorless and transparent samples with high contrast.
This system has the following features:
1. Built in aperture diaphragm
2. Diascopic stand with built in fine focussing knob, to assist in different depth of field focussing and for micromanipulations, with a generous stage glass diameter of 180mm.
3. Other features are P-IBSD Beam splitter with 2 camera ports, with fluorescent ring illuminator and coaxial episcopic illuminator(fiber optic light).
4. The system has 8 megapixels CCD digital camera with it's own LCD monitor. Digital zoom, video and a variety of modes and functions are available.
